Bonnie Mbithi

Bonnie Mbithi is the Chief Executive Officer of the WEEE Centre, a leading circular economy organization in East Africa focused on sustainable management of electronic waste. With over a decade of experience in waste management, circular economy systems, and environmental sustainability, he has been instrumental in advancing responsible e-waste recycling, resource recovery, and green enterprise development across the region.

He has worked extensively with governments, development partners, private sector actors, and communities to design and implement scalable waste management systems, strengthen policy and regulatory frameworks, and promote circular infrastructure solutions. Bonnie is a recognized thought leader in Africa’s circular economy space and a strong advocate for integrating environmental sustainability into urban development and municipal service delivery.
Through his leadership, the WEEE Centre has pioneered innovative models in e-waste collection, refurbishment, and recycling, contributing to job creation, environmental protection, and the transition towards a more resource-efficient and inclusive circular economy in Africa.
