David Ngechu

David Ngechu is a strategic leader in climate-tech innovation, circular economy solutions, and sustainability, with over 10 years’ experience advancing impactful programs at the intersection of technology, environment, and climate resilience. He holds a Masters in Mechatronics & Robotics from The University of Leeds.

As the head of product and technology at Takataka Ni Mali, he champions the use of digital technology, inclusive green growth, organizational sustainability, and climate-smart innovations. He has a strong track record in forging transformative partnerships, scaling digital waste-management systems, mobilizing climate action, and empowering communities through capacity building and green job creation.

His work has enabled the diversion of more than 10,000 tons of waste from landfills, the creation of 2,500+ green jobs, and the delivery of 100+ training programs. He is committed to advancing climate resilience, empowering local communities, and scaling market-based solutions that drive low-carbon, resource-efficient growth across Africa.
