David Osiany, HSC

David Osiany, HSC is a Kenyan policy analyst, strategic communications specialist, and business leader with extensive experience across public policy, governance, media, and government relations. He served as Kenya’s former Deputy Minister (Chief Administrative Secretary) for Industrialization, Trade and Enterprise Development from 2020 to 2022, where he contributed to national conversations on enterprise growth, industrial development, and SME support.
Earlier in his career, he served as Special Advisor in the Office of the Prime Minister of Kenya from 2012 to 2013, where he worked alongside the late Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga. His professional journey also includes service as a Governance Associate with Oxfam GB’s Pan-African Programme and experience in broadcast media as a news anchor with Royal Media Services (HOT96 FM).
His work has earned recognition through several notable honours, including the UNEP-Bayer Young Environmental Envoy Award (2009), Presidential Head of State Commendation (2019), Top 40 Under 40 by Nation Africa (2021), Kenya SME Champion by KEPSA (2021), and Top 20 LinkedIn Influencer of the Year in Kenya by Favikon (2024).
He is the Founder and Group Chair/CEO of Crestwood Marketing & Communications Group, headquartered in Nairobi and serving clients across regional and global markets. His leadership reflects a blend of policy insight, communication excellence, and a strong commitment to public impact.
