Joseph Murabula

Chief Executive of Kenya Climate Innovation (KCIC)

Joseph Murabula is the CEO of the Kenya Climate Innovation Center (KCIC), where he leads efforts to support SMEs in the climate space through incubation, acceleration services, and innovative financing. With over 15 years of expertise in business advisory, climate financing, entrepreneurship, and investment management, Joseph has held significant roles at leading institutions such as the Kenya Innovative Finance Facility for Water (KIFFWA), Limited, Equity Investment Bank, and the East African Development Bank.

He is a Certified Expert in Climate and Renewable Energy Finance from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management. He holds an MSc in Finance and Financial Law from the University of London, and a BSc in Agricultural Economics from the University of Nairobi. He is a Certified Publicc Accountant and a Certified Public Secretary.
He co-founded KIFFWA to pioneer private investment in the water sector and played a key a role in establishing the Regional Collaboration Centre for the Clean Development Mechanism – an institution that promotes the Clean Development Mechanism in 23 Anglophone Countries.
His strategic and visionary leadership is dedicated to addressing climate change, sustainable development, and financial empowerment.
