Mary Ngechu, MBS, is a distinguished Global Sustainability Ambassador, social entrepreneur, and visionary leader in Manufacturing .Her impactful work earned her recognition as Runner-up for 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗡 𝗶𝗻 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝘆𝗮 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟳.Her exemplary leadership in sustainable industrialization has also been honored with the presidential award of 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗿 (𝗠𝗕𝗦).
Mary is the Managing Director of 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗟𝘁𝗱 and the Founder and Patron of the 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗮 𝗻𝗶 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗶 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. She drives regional policy and climate action through several key leadership roles, serving as an Advisory Board Member for 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗜𝗦𝗪𝗔) 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿, Director at the 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝘆𝗮 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 (𝗞𝗘𝗣𝗦𝗔) representing SMEs, Director at the 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗣𝗔𝗞𝗣𝗥𝗢), and Goodwill Ambassador for the 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 (𝗘𝗔𝗕𝗖).
Mary is also a passionate champion for gender inclusion and formerly served as Chair of the 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗪𝗜𝗠) Programme under the 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝘆𝗮 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗿𝘀 (𝗞𝗔𝗠), where she played an instrumental role in advancing mentorship and the integration of women in industry. Through her diverse leadership roles, she continues to foster the multi-sectoral collaborations needed to accelerate Africa’s transition toward a resilient and inclusive green economy.
